If It’s God’s Will, It’s God’s Bill

During 2013, God gave me a dream of pursuing leadership in the field I am in. I believe that I am in for a great responsibility that requires wisdom and knowledge so I have to prepare myself for a journey of learning to equip me and shape me for my calling. With that, I decided to take an MBA program this 2014. At the beginning of the year’s Prayer and Fasting I was praying for a financial breakthrough, an increase to finance my studies.

April 2014, I still didn’t get the increase that I am praying for, this left me with no idea where to get finances for my tuition but I trusted that God will provide as I obey and fill out application forms for my graduate studies. I applied for a scholarship and was granted a 50% scholarship leaving me half of the tuition to pay which is P15,000. Provision keeps on pouring as my boss blessed me with P5,000 and someone with a generous heart blessed me with P8,000 and that enabled me to enroll for my MBA paying only P2,000.

Before the end of June 2014, I am already studying when God answered my prayer. I was given a 25% increase in salary and it was ordered effective JANUARY 1, giving me a retrospective pay equivalent to 150% (25%X6months) of my salary! After months of waiting, God answered and He answered my prayer in His perfect timing. If I received the increase instantly on January, I believe that I won’t be eligible for the scholarship. God made me wait, because He wanted to give me more than what I asked – an increase and a scholarship. The waiting was worth the wait.

I am overwhelmed by how God crafted out His ways to assure me that He is with me, that as I step out in faith to pursue His calling, He will never leave me and He will provide. We have our own plans but God’s plan is greater than ours and for us. Tithing in times of need, trusting in times of waiting, and faith in who He is, I learned that in his silence He is working behind the scenes. All I had were a dream, faith, and prayer and God fulfilled the rest. My journey has just started but I am confident that with God by my side, nothing is impossible.
